	While  seldom do folks schedule this area as a flyfishing destination, it is a very popular family vacation spot and during the summer more people want to fish a day or two than we can handle. Capt Unk has been flyfishing all over the world for more than 40 years and still travels a good deal. We routinely schedule trips for people to Islamorada, Flamingo, Chokoloskee, Homosassa, Cudjoe Key, the Contents, the dazzling north end of the Grand Canyon at Lee's Ferry, Alaska, the Bahamas, Costa Rica, Belize, Honduras and Mexico. Capt Unk is Past President of our local fly club, The Emerald Coast Flyfishers. He conducts flycasting lessons and seminars for new and experienced fly casters regularly. Capt Unk joined the late Jim Buckingham a few years back to do the Castlow Shows as a fly tier. He has tied in several. He regularly demonstrates fly tying and fly casting during the annual Florida Sportsman's event here in Ft Walton Beach. He has been a tier and presenter at the annual FFF SE Conclave in Gulf Shores, both the Gulf Coast Expos in Lake Charles and the Southern Council Conclave at Mt Home, AR. He's an active member of CCA, FFA, and IGFA. Of course he's USCG Certified, insured and bonded. He was an Official Guide and wrote the "Pensacola to Panama City Guide Report" for eAngler.com. He is a certified IGFA Captain. He is a sanctioned CCA Guide and on the Hell's Bay Boatworks' guide program. He runs a Whip Ray 17.8 Professional skiff. He has been published, has an inshore slam from Ascension Bay, and is always ready to teach, talk, and learn anything about flyfishing. He holds sponsorships from many popular tackle outfits like Hell's Bay Boats, Cortland (and affiliates Hardy, STH, Diamondback), Minn-Kota, CALUSA Cast Nets, Springbrook/Temple Fork Outfitters, Old Florida Reels, Ocean Waves and more.
Northwest Florida Flyfishing About Bones' Charters...Captain "Unk" retired from 30 years flying fast jets in the USAF several years ago. He has been a licensed, bonded, insured, and certified guide here in Florida's panhandle ever since.
